Dear Mr. Hart, I am a primary/urgent care physician in Trussville, AL. I recently started listening to your show and have become a fan. I have not heard you speak much about medical care as I have limited time to listen. I am a sole practitioner and own my practice. Increasingly, it is becoming almost impossible to keep our doors open. Reimbursements are down terribly, overhead has skyrocketed, patients are responsible for a larger share of care and most refuse to pay (1/3 of our patients are in collections forcing our management to spend the majority of their time with accounts receivable), coding has become a nightmare under the new guidelines, insurance companies are ruthless, federal regulations are increasingly oppressive, our profit margin has shrunk to the point where I make much less now than I did 20 years ago. I trained for 11 years straight, incurred a tremendous amount of debt I had to pay off, work a minimum of 70 hours a week, have not taken a vacation in over 5 years, save lives on a regular basis and have almost nothing to show for it. My mechanic makes more per hour than I do. I hear much talk about Obamacare and the impact on patients. I would really like to hear a segment on the effects of ACA on physicians. The reality is small physician practice owners are being forced out of business. This is a disaster for patients and medical care as a whole. I am sorry I was long winded. My frustration has grown to a point I would gladly walk away from my practice if I had the means. Keep up the good work. Dr. Bob

This foolish decision poses a serious national security threat to the U.S. Our nation has absolutely no process in place to vet these refugees, never mind the resources to care for them.
